Finny Kuruvilla
Finny Kuruvilla, MD PhD serves as the portfolio manager of the Eventide Gilead Fund. Under his management, the Gilead Fund's retail class was named #1 in the midcap core category out of 359 funds for the period ending June 30, 2009, which was our first year of operations, by Lipper and the Wall Street Journal. Dr. Kuruvilla has a unique background in healthcare, statistics, and investing. Since 2008, Dr. Kuruvilla has been a Principal at Clarus Ventures, a healthcare venture capital firm with $1.2 billion under management. Prior to Clarus, he did quantitative algorithm development at MIT in the area of pseudo-Bayesian expectation maximization and logistic regression. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School, his PhD from Harvard University, his master's degree from MIT, and his bachelor's degree from Caltech.Robin John
Robin Cheriakalath John co-founded Eventide Asset Management and oversees broker dealer relations, distributions, compliance and operations. Prior to founding Eventide, Mr. John has held leadership roles for the Bank of New York Mellon, finance auditing for Boston University, and business consultancy for Grant Thornton where he specialized in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and SAS 70 accounting standards. He also serves as a Trustee with Mercy Mission, a charity that supports the poor in India. He graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Economics.David Barksdale
David Barksdale oversees analytics and finance. He, along with Dr. Kuruvilla, has developed a series of metrics and modeling techniques to assess portfolio risks and opportunities. He conducts portfolio research and modeling using quantitative management techniques for risk management and allocation as part of Eventide's portfolio management process. Mr. Barksdale has worked in software development for over 12 years. He holds an bachelor's degree from Caltech.
Jason Myhre works in sales and distributions. He specializes in 401(k) / 403(b) services and works with businesses and nonprofit organizations. Prior to Eventide, he was at Altec and Harvard University. Mr. Myhre holds a master's and bachelor's degree from the University of Florida.
