The Marketing Associate role is focused on supporting the operational needs of the marketing department. The primary purpose of this role is to serve Eventide’s goal of aligning 1,000 advisors to values-based investing within 5 years. A secondary purpose is to engage the retail market.


  • Works with Director of Marketing and Marketing Team to develop rich content marketing calendar of releases for steady stream of engaging and educational content to help investors understand and practice values-based investing.
  • Writes, edits, or contributes to Eventide’s marketing initiatives as assigned by Director of Marketing, including email marketing, website pages, press releases, whitepapers, Insights, social media, email templates or talking points for use by sales staff, product marketing (Fund fact sheets, pitchbooks, commentaries, overviews, impact brochures and other literature), presentations, video, and PR
  • Seeks to understand Eventide’s philosophical views and investment process in order to communicate in ways that represent our investing with fidelity and accuracy. Stays abreast of values-based investing industry and business curriculum for new marketing idea generation. Pitches ideas with strong ties to pillar brand message and content. This includes positioning new ideas within the whole body of work Eventide develops in order to facilitate large-scale paradigm shifts in our audiences towards values-based investing
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across the organization (Marketing, Investment Team, Sales) in the development of content
  • Supports Eventide’s operational marketing needs, as requested by Director of Marketing (e.g. maintaining platform marketing submissions, managing CE sponsor accounts)
  • Conducts market research with customers or ideal customer audiences as assigned by Director of Marketing or firm management to advance values-based investment practice
  • Uses data as possible to adapt messaging to what’s working. Willing to embrace changes in communication in rapidly changing values-based movement.
  • Attends relevant industry conferences (travel estimated at <10% of role).
  • Execute full range of duties, from ideas through to finished work.
  • Works independently as well as part of focused Marketing team.
  • Willing to help with ad hoc responsibilities as requested by Marketing team and firm management and take on additional roles as required in a smaller firm setting. This includes helping internal stakeholders as needs arise for communication tasks.
  • Studies values-based investing movement, learning the streams of its practice (ESG, SRI, BRI, faith-based, sustainable, responsible, impact, etc), in order to help develop differentiated and compelling marketing ideas. This values-based education includes reading competitive companies’ content, attending relevant values-based investing industry conferences and phone calls/webinars, reading research publications on values-based investing, among other activities.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, or similar field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial services industry desired.
  • Facility with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Comfort with technology and digital marketing tools or willingness to learn technology platforms of delivery (e.g., HubSpot, WordPress, Email Marketing, Social Media).
  • Knowledge of investing desired, but not required; however, willingness to learn investment industry a must.
  • Ideas person / strategic thinker. Must have the ability to generate original content ideas.
  • Ability to write clearly and persuasively for diverse audiences of differing levels of sophistication and understanding, namely for individuals, financial advisors, and institutions.
  • Understanding of, or interest in developing understanding of, Christian values and beliefs and how those come to bear on the practice of investing (Christian faith-based investors are big audience for Eventide).
  • Facility and grace in communication to persons coming from a range of ethical traditions and ethics/values frameworks – must be able to communicate in ways that accord with Eventide’s values that are recognizable and compelling regardless of one’s starting place and motivations for values-based investing.

  • Understanding of social platforms, and leading and effective trends/styles of communication appropriate for social channels.
